Some of the most beautiful work of this craftsman, and many others, are in this book “Liège Gunmakers through their Work. 1800 - 1950”.

Jean Mathieu Deprez

It is about a Lefaucheux revolver in civil calibre 9mm, carrying a very beautiful engraving.

The carcass preserves 100% more of its marbling and the cylinder has a very beautiful blue bronzing harms shining.

The bronzing of the barrel turned clear tobacco with spots.

The plates are out of squared ebony wood.

The weapon is signed JM DEPREZ on the frame under the left plate. I suppose that it is about Jean Mathieu Deprez.

One can raise the following punches: the punch of the proofhouse of Liege, of course, and a L crowned under the cylinder and on the barrel. There is also T crowned on the barrel. One note also D, follow-up of an I (perhaps?) crowned in front of the cylinder.
